Yes, it's a low enough salary level - I agree. I wonder are they seeking someone who has no connection with the organisation to represent them in negotiations with various bodies who might commission leadership training or in media interviews? Or are they just seeking someone who might grow Lucca in...

Has anybody thought of telling the story of what goes on in the SES in
Britain and elsewhere and posting it on YouTube? I'm thinking of
some of the parodies written to current music which are both fun and have

In answer to Free: a few years ago the John Scottus Senior School found itself in “an impossible financial situation” and suggested to parents that it had found a solution “at nominal additional costs to parents”. The cost per child per term it told parents was about €l,484 and although â€...

Mystic Guru

Have you tried approaching various news programme editors? Perhaps the St. James action group (forgotten its proper title) could do so? You're absolutely right though - without decent publicity it's going to be very difficult to raise awareness. What I can't understand is that given that the media i...

By the way, did you alert the local press to it - or even the national? With protests like this the national pr...

Necker Island

Here's the reference to Necker Island, it's taken from the chapter about the SES in William Shaw's 1994 book "Spying in Guru Land". You can read the whole chapter on Dialogue Ireland's website. "In 1984 two journalists from the Evening Standard, Peter Hounham and Andrew Hogg, publishe...

Necker Island

Does anybody know if it's true that Necker Island, one of the British
Virgin islands, was donated to the SES at some stage? And who sold
it to Richard Branson?

Time to call in the lawyers?

There have been numerous successful actions taken in Ireland
over the last few years against teachers, particularly from religious institutions, by former pupils who suffered physical, emotional and sexual abuse at their hands.

There does seem to be heavy investment in property in Ireland -the organisation and its schools now own five substantial properties in Dublin - worth many millions today, one acquired only in the last few years. They also own their own version of Waterperry House, called Townley Hall in the country....
