I think the fundamental issue here is the "punishment book". We all know that some pupils were beaten on a regular basis..some were my classmates. The "punishment book" is a fallacy... we all know that ND is a stranger to the truth and certainly not a "witness of truth"...

Did anyone else think David Boddy, or as the great Noel Skinner would call him, "David Boady", really showed the SES at it's self inflated and ridiculous self? In addition did anyone else feel physically sick at the sight of Nicholas "Im just in charge, I dont know what the hell goes on in my school...

I left St James at age 9 and was also put in the,"good english, shame about the maths", category by two different schools. I would , however, like to suggest an "exit strategy" for parents who wish to remove their children ..... simply give the terms notice required but state it is for financial reas...

Is there anyway for us to verify Andrew Hogg is really who he claims to be? It would not be the first time an imposter has used the site. If Andrew Hogg is genuine I apologise now, but after a few years at St James trust is not my strong point. If Andrew Hogg is an imposter from the SES then may you...

Daffy, I havent spoken to my "mother" for nearly four years, my "father" in months....the SES episode is a major part of this. I do know they are aware of the situation and have been for months.

A superb posting from non conformist, short but accurate! I have the following questions which for transparency, I feel, should be answered: 1) Some "masters" were unable to control their tempers- as some still are "masters" what has been done to rectify this?My concern is that an individual with a ...

Unfortunately the Criminal Records checks only cover persons who have been bought to the attention of the relevant authorities by way of an allegation. The suffering I went through and witnessed others go through would, in a normal school setting, have attracted this attention very quickly. Because ...

Vix, just to reiterate the above posts I was at St James school and still have not recovered. I know people that are still in the SES and wouldn't swap places with them for the world. Good luck and please let us know how you get on.

As a former pupil of St James I read the above comments with no surprise, I would, however, like to make a suggestion of compromise. Firstly why not ask to see audited accounts of the SES and associated schools, as I understand it the organisation is awash with funds, perhaps your money could go to ...

Can I implore anyone who has any information to attend the inquiry. The terms of reference may not be what we wanted but its the best we can hope for at this time. I gave my statement yesterday and I strongly urge others to follow suit.

I can't thank the people who have been instrumental in creating and contributing to this site enough, it has not been easy recounting my own experiences and reading others accounts, but then lancing boils has never been painless. Thankyou.
