mystic guru

Okay, I haven't posted in ages. I have since left the NYC school when I realized that it was in fact not a school of philosophy as they have originally stated and marketed to millions on the subway.........it is really a hindu cult of which I do not wish to be a part of. Firstly, they have misrepres...

You're making the right decision Vicky! What happens is that people pay for the course, they give one weeks salary at initiation, then they somehow find out about this forum. They then feel compelled to stay because of time and money they invested;we'll I say bite the bullet and run far far away. I ...

Hi Vix, Well I for one don't think you should bother sticking around just to see what happens. Some of us have already been there and quit while we were ahead. You have to read some of the current posts under general discussions about SES, all the way down to NYC adult school of practical philosophy...

Stanton, a question for you: If it provides such clarity of mind and at least the NY tutors are explaining that it peels the layers away and the true self shines; why is it then that most all of the tutors and most of those people that having been attending the adult school for quite some time have ...

I haven't got a copy of the great book "secret cult", can you please describe what is mentioned in here? I think we should make an effort to let the celebs know what this school is really about worldwide! I for one will be seeing Hugh Jackman and letting him know! I am sure he has no idea what is go...

Well who cares what they think!? Do we really need to justify to them what we are doing with our money?! I say go for the intiation and give them very little! Have the experience and not the sacrifice! There are many other deserving true charities! This is not a true charity!!!!!!!! This is a school...

I really think you should have stickers made up and post them on the ads! People must be warned what this is! If I were rich enough, I would have them made up! Maybe it would be cheap, who knows? I will be investigating for NYC though. I definitely plan on being aggressive! I wil be letting selectiv...

Famous people throughout the world attending the school

I was wondering if anybody knows anybody who is famous who attends the school or who was once a student of the school? Like John Travolta and Tom Cruise are famous for being Scientologists. I wonder if any celebs know the real history of the School of Practical Philosophy around the world. I betcha ...

In the NY adult school we were told to have the feet flat on the floor and have your back against the chair, very erect. This was to encourage the energy flow to all the chakras, although the tutor did not mention the word, chakras, a fellow student did. I guess I would find this beneficial but the ...

Not only the English speaking world but South America, Europe and Mediterranean, Trinidad, South Africa and where else, I thought someone mentioned Israel somewhere? I find it interesting that they did not branch out into California. I guess there's too many cults there already! http://www.practical...

If you are curious, you can stick with it and give no more than 60 pounds as your donation or whatever you want. No one says anything to you, the check gets folded and put in a basket and your other offerrings on the initiation day ceremony, like fruit, white handkerchief and six flowers get put in ...

Thank you Free Thinker for your response. I don't think I want to spend time away from my family, 2 nights a week, a few w/e's a year and I just found out there's a one week intensive! If you only get two weeks a year vacation, one week has to be spent with them! I wonder how much more money you hav...

Thank you Free Thinker for your additional comments, I was patiently awaiting those. I think I will finish out my term as I have already paid for it and then quit. What do you think would happen to you if you are fragile emotionally and you continue with the school? I feel like the life has been suc...

Thank you free thinker! I know it's alot to ask of you, but this will benefit fellow adult students and parents who are thinking of taking or putting in their children into the school!!! It also helps to have it all in one area for easier reading and some people are not that computer literate or int...
