Thanks Jambrekes. Due to the lack of replies to my requests for parents in the same boat as me, I was begining to think that I was the only one in the boat. I was glad to get your PM If you know other parents in the same boat who don't wear long skirts, please encourage them to register and visit th...

St James comes clean on its Web site

You might be interested in this. I have just noticed this morning that St James now seems to have altered its web site to be pretty clear about its links to the SES. Before Christmas there was no mention of the SES on the site, and , wow, now it is there, under the history section. Where it should a...

I would very much like to get in contact with current or past parents of St James students who were not aware of the SES's involvement with the school until receiving the recent letter from Mr Boddy. There must be readers of this site that can help with this. I would be interested in hearing concern...

Has anyone noticed that the SES have removed the link from their website to St James.

Was I imagining it, but I am sure there was a link there until recently?

Why would they feel ther need to do this now?

Topic for all NON SES Parents. Current and Past

I would like to get a better idea of the number of Parents who enrolled their child at a St James school without being informed of the links to the SES. If you are a past ,or current parent , Iwould like to hear your views and comments on this, how you feel now that you have found out and if you thi...

I am saying that it is abusive of the school to put the child and the parent in that position. Honesty and full transparency would have prevented this. The fact that the school has hidden their real intentions and ownership is good enough reason to withdraw. One has to be able to trust the people wh...

I was invited to enrol my child several years ago at St James without any knowledge of the SES, as have may others whose children are there now. Only now has the truth dawned on me. My straw poll indicates that at least 30% of current parents are still ignorant of the SES. I am also aware of parents...

reply to Sparks and Leon M

Thanks to both for your responses... Yes, you are right, the links to the SES are all there when one looks for them. It is only my fault for not looking deeper. But these links are not made clear during meetings and interviews with the school before enrolement nor in their literature. The links with...

Hi parent..My son is in Senior school, but I imagine that the paents of Junior boys and the girls school will all share concerns. Were you aware of the links with the SES before you enrolled your child?. I was not, but in retrospect I imagine that the issues are no different than, for example, one w...

I am a current concerned parent. I recieved a letter today outlining the issues and announcing an enquiry. The users of this site have obviously put a huge amount of effort and perserverance to bring about this enquiry. Thank you. I hope that the outcome will benefit the school and its current and ...
