Concerned Mum, I will look out the threads for you when I have a moment - sorry it is late at night now, and it will take a while! But you would do well to have a read through some of the threads on this page. I know there are many of them, and some are very long, but it is worth it. I wish myself t...

In a sense this highlights what I personally find the most unpalatable aspect of this bulletin board. I doubt that I am alone in this. Look at this exchange. Look at all the other exchanges involving current or (as it is now) just-left pupils of St James; I can provide the links, but most of them ar...

? How can you be "a relatively disinterested outsider" and a "concerned parent". This appears to be an oxymoron. Sorry, you are quite right! I took the moniker when I was considering St James as a possible school for my son a couple of years ago. Researching the school - and I researched all the po...

OK, it makes sense now. Sort of - I mean your reponses, Daska and Snowman, do make complete sense. However, as a relatively disinterested outsider I must say that the original paragraph was not clear to me at all. I am not at all trying to play Devil's Advocate in this, nor do I consider myself para...

My understanding of that paragraph: Decisive action is required by the governors without delay in order to minimise disruption to current pupils' education. i.e. the longer that the governors sit on their hands and do nothing, the greater the risk to current pupils' education and academic success. ...

I would also like to ask for clarification of this paragraph in the open letter. I do not see that it is a threat, but what actually is meant by it? Why is it in the open letter; what disruption to the current pupils is being referred to? Why is decisive action required to ensure that the schools ar...

Perhaps you would care to actually take the time to read through the posts and testimonies on this forum by the people who suffered. It would be a small courtesy on your part to do so. Then perhaps you might be in a position to offer help or advice. Until then, reflect that your agenda may only be s...

Snowman, I am not Zathura and I cannot speak for her/him, but I think there is a valid point being made. For example there are posts made about cults that somehow bypass the question of whether the SES is in fact a cult. I am not saying it isn't, but there it is suddenly as a fact, together with lis...

Hmmm, no mention of "disabled people brought this on themselves from a previous life" here. No mention about beliefs about homosexuality either. I don't know. I can't see anything about either of those in the school curriculum on the website. Perhaps you could ask the current pupils about whether t...

I find it offensive that posts by the current pupils are being labelled as 'propaganda'. The current pupils are not saying that 'everything else is wrong', they are stating what they personally have experienced, exactly as you are. You can choose to believe them, or you can dismiss them because it d...

getting things wrong
People are responsible to no-one but themselves and their god when it comes to a spiritual path. If a man feels a need for this, then he has the absolute right to decide for himself that this is the most important thing for him and to put it first before everything else. To dedicate his life to it, ...
