I take my hat off to you, Tom, I'm not sure I could meet up with that sadistic arsehole even after all these years.

Good luck and I look forward to reading all about it on here.

I feel I must point out for the benefit of people reading this board that Christopher Southwell in particular was also extremely abusive (both physically and emotionally) to many of the female pupils he taught. He certainly made my life a living hell. The Townend report pretty much ignored the girls...

Thanks, Justice,

Ian himself sent me a copy of this post, and I'm glad he's managed to clear everything up. I apologise if I went off on one a bit - the whole thing upset me quite a lot, but I can see now that the mistakes you made were honest ones and I hope you'll accept my apologies!

Hi Justice,

Thanks for your apology, I appreciate it. There seems to have been a lot of wires crossed somewhere. I look forward to finding out what's going on!

Important: TV programme on SES and its schools not happening

Hi all, Just to let you all know that I have been in touch with Ian Howarth of the Cult Information Centre and he denies any knowledge of a separate TV programme on the SES and its schools. He has already found all the people he needs for his original documentary which is about cults in general, so ...

Hi Justice, thanks for this. Does Ian have an e-mail address? You can send it to me in a PM if you would prefer, as it's not a good idea to post e-mail addresses on public bulletin boards!

Thanks.

Well done, Tom, and what a fascinating reply you got! I find it particularly interesting that whoever wrote this e-mail (and one assumes he/she speaks for the whole of the McLaren Foundation) seems convinced (as many of us are) that the inquiry was not as "independent" as it should have be...

He seems to have disavowed these people, both by declaring the leadership to be over, and by leaving his copyright to all his works--which formed the basis for the SES and St James teachings--to his assistant rather than the new leadership. Interestingly, if you click on the Will and read it, it al...

Yes it is isn't it? Particularly the section about his Will - seems certain followers of McLaren aren't too happy with the way his personal effects have been treated since his death. Could it be that the SES are riding roughshod over someone else's feelings and wishes?? I can't believe it! Can you?!...

Well! If this child was chanting things like "perfect is perfect etc" (something I learned and chanted in the late 70s/early 80s) as recently as 2005, then it rather puts paid to the SES assertion that things have changed, and they don't teach/do any of that any more. It seems unlikely tha...

I assume this means they won't be printing your letter on their letters page? I guess everyone is so afraid of being sued these days.....that is everyone except the SES it would seem....

Most recently there was some leafletting outside the ERT conference that seeks to extend the reach of the St James paradigm and make it available to the teaching profession at large. There was a thread on this action but unfortunately I can't find it at the moment. Here it is! Thought I'd be of som...

Re: John Scottus School in Ireland - illegal corporal punish

Hi Concerned Mum and welcome to the board - it's good to see that after a long period of very little happening on here people like you are still finding this site and getting some support and help from it. I've heard some of the classes seem to be educationally behind and in meetings with the parent...
