Re: EXPERIENCES AT ST. VEDAST (now St. James) AND THE S.E.S

That sounds like a great alternative, Daffy. Thanks for taking everyone's views into account, and coming up with such a fair solution.

Re: My letter to Australian GQ (re Hugh Jackman article)

Returning to the original post of this thread, ET's letter: reading again what you went through ET is so awful that I simply don't know what to say. Thank you for doing the letter. Being in the organisation for so many years without knowing about this side of its history is one of the things I don'...

Re: EXPERIENCES AT ST. VEDAST (now St. James) AND THE S.E.S

Hi Daffy, I can understand why this contributor feels this way, but I think it's a shame, as this thread is a useful reference to give people when I want them to read about what went on at the schools. For example, I referenced the thread in my recent letter to Australian GQ magazine, as I believe i...

Re: My letter to Australian GQ (re Hugh Jackman article)

GQ head office in New York also need to know about this, because they definitely care about brand management and would not want their name to be sullied by franchises anywhere in the world. So I suggest you carbon copy your letter to GQ's worldwide editor-in-chief, Jim Nelson, with a few choice cli...

My letter to Australian GQ (re Hugh Jackman article)

For those of you who haven't read the article, here is the link: http://www.gq.com.au/life/people/hugh+jackman,6495 I have written to the editor (not that I expect them to take any notice, but we have to try). The text of my letter follows: Dear GQ Australia, I read with interest Brendan Shanahan's ...

Re: SES CULT + ST. JAMES SCHOOLS MULTI MILLION POUND EMPIRE

If you want to read the GQ article, it's here: http://www.gq.com.au/life/people/hugh+jackman,6495 Very scathing about this board: A Google search reveals a few disgruntled bulletin board postings from people claiming to be former students of The School of Practical Philosophy, though their complaint...

I know this is a very old article, but could this possibly sound more like a cult?! Who are they trying to kid? Themselves, mostly.

Re: The Story of the School of Economic Science by B Hodgkin

Hi Millie, Thanks for your post. I think there is a good chance you could feel like that if you read this book, but the important thing to remember is that you would be wrong to feel that way! What was done to us as children can never be justified by any so-called "philosophy". The hurtful...

Re: The Story of the School of Economic Science by B Hodgkin

*sigh* Well I suppose it was only a matter of time. I've looked on Amazon to see if it's possible to link it to Clara Salaman's book or put in a link to this forum, but it doesn't seem to be at the moment. That might be because the book isn't out yet. Interesting that it's published by a publisher c...

Re: Parenting

Sickening. "the destructive nature of idleness" could have come directly from one of the "philosophy" classes I attended at a child. Let's hope these parents do their homework on this organisation and find this forum.

Re: DOES SCIENTOLOGY CONTROL 'Whyaretheydead' Domain?

It looks to me as if the site no longer exists, and that a browser robot has picked out significant words on the old site and found links to them to post on a holding page. As it's a robot, it doesn't know the difference between "positive" references to Scientology and "negative"...

Great news! If this forum exists for no other purpose it is here to inform and stop children and parents being put through what we went through. So proud to be part of this small fight back against those who abused us.

Re: Thank you for warning me...

Hi Rosie and well done for finally posting, it's a scary thing to do the first time! In fact, sometimes I still get nervous and I've been posting for years. I just wanted to say, please please don't ever feel stupid for getting involved with the SES. Four of my relatives were heavily involved for ma...
