It would be totally unrealistic for the School to wave goodbye to St James since it was School parents who set up the School in the first place and have continued to support it. They did so in order to provide a better education for their children. They really cared about you and, in many cases, mad...

But of course he should - how better to say what he has to say.

Sam's grammar is not his strong point, as we all know, but given his post on another thread it's meaningful.
Sam could you change the question as suggested?
By the way, its 'reconciliation' not 'reconcilliation'.

As I understand it, the aim is to offer the best and to encourage members to live a healthy, ethical and, yes, measured life. Being only human, people will fall down on this - but the ideal is still there. Food offered at Mandeville Place (for everyone) includes quiche, a rice bake, steamed potatoes...

Thank you for your post, JC, and I'm very glad to hear that the apology was heartfelt and meaningful. I hope that you and your family can work with that and find some comfort in it. By 'benefit' I had in mind the wider environment of School. From what has been told me personally, some people in the ...

I, too, would very much like to hear why the governors chose to reveal private and confidential letters and perhaps ET and JC can enlighten us. As to 'significant changes' I don't know what these may be but I think there must be some. There are all those unexamined issues dating from the time of Sec...

I knew what I said wouldn't be popular in some quarters - but I'm just thinking laterally, at least I think that is what it is. When there's a impasse and a lot of indignation - look for the unexpected release? To take my first point - is it not possible that momentum is building in the School towar...

MM's child could surely eat fruit, vegetables and nuts - her diet at the moment is very carbohydrate. Try innocent drinks - which are delicious - to bump up her fruit intake. Oh - and get in the marmite too if she likes it. We always drank wine on residentials - just one glass in the evening. The di...

I'm sorry to hear it and it seems like Mary Pickering also regrets it. But there may be a benefit taken as a whole. Please don't think I am in any way making light of the incident if I say that the more openness there is -the better. For as long as relatives and parents think their child was happy a...

Bonsai - there is a danger of the State regulating everything and so closing off alternatives that it may not approve of. A free-for-all in medicine is also obviously undesirable. There has to be a balance here and it has, for example, largely been struck in acupuncture through self-regulation, by f...

Assuming that the letter referred to is the open letter (and we wait confirmation of this) then it is perfectly in order for anyone to see the content and the signatories. I'll repeat again - an open letter is just that. To suppose that an open letter is somehow still 'confidential' is an oxymoron. ...

So far as I'm aware, Keir, an open letter is just that - it could be pinned up in Oxford Circus without objection. If it was intended for any particular party (for their eyes only) it would be private and confidential. Open letters are often published deliberately - you quite often see them in newsp...

If it's an open letter then it's an open letter and anyone can read it - that's what an open letter is. Let's see what JC and ET tell us.
