Hey a different guest I agree it was sharp of Sam. However you did jump to a conclusion about the showers. The showers at the senior boys were knocked down in the year of my arrival. However we used to shower at the facilites provided at the playing fields. Hope thats cleared that up a little better...

Knowhere can I find postings by current St James pupils that are compassionless. We are backing you, in the case of St J, saying that the remaining governors should remove themselves from their positions, the teachers should give full, open apoligies and that the link between St J and SES should be ...

Keir I really do hope you are not saying what i think you are saying with your "child bride" & "sheet stains" post! If you are then you need help! lol I think that we need to get back to the 3 things that both groups are going for. 1 - the school to be fully open about its links to the SES, SoES...

I hope the do take me in for questioning! I have nothing I want to hide. As I have said I was never abused, physically or mentaly. The education St James offered me, especialy extra-curiculla, (climbing club etc.) was fantastic.

MM No they are not taught it. The Philosophy "material" used at St James is, based on, but totaly removed from that of the SES or SoES or SOP or whatever you want to call it. The Philosophy is far more dilute and is censored to remove any inapropriate material, such as the "Laws Of Manu". It also al...

We had that very debate in a "philosophy" lesson one time. I can't remember the outcome (equal rights I believe) but I for one don't see why they shouldn't be give equal rights. Explain indoctrinated please Daska. Do you mean that the "indoctrinated" pupils feel they must join the SES when the oppor...

I feel that the key to being in the SES is having a thick skin and really deciding what YOU want to here and what you want to discard. The SES has given me some good times and some good material. However I think the amount of self-righteous stuff they preach, and expect you to believe unquestioningl...

Daska I agree the teaching is flawed. Only slightly though. (Joke ok!) Luckily they don't expose any pupils in the school to this teaching. It is entirely voluntary for the pupil to join the SES. In my year group we had bout 10 out of 35 or so pupils join. Some of those have now left. There is no ob...

Well if the NSPCC are holding an inspection of the current school, I for one am glad. They will find nothing wrong with the current school. The only thing they could say is that the school is employing past offenders, and they may resign. I would gladly provide evidence for those in question, DL etc...

Please don't bring StJ parents into this little sub debate, you may be right that parents wouldn't send there parents if they realised that it was SES and not LSoE. The point is StJ should be more open about the link and the SES should be more open about what it actualy teaches. Thereby dropping one...

I will not lie; I joined mainly because my friends were. I have had many good times during my two and a half years, getting blind drunk on weekends and weeks and careering round Waterperry house, stealing and consequently crashing Bernard Saunders?s golf buggy. (Hope he doesn?t read these!) But I ha...
