Ok my bad!
However I still belive that it would be a good move for the UK schools to follow suit and drop this missleading name. In all my contact with the SES I have never been talked too about or discussed economics!

Hi Daska see above post for message for you also! The text books in schools are at present undergoing an overhaul, again I can only speak of StJ senior boys. The ones I have seen have dropped a lot of the BS! The SES in the southern Hemisphere has changes its name to SOP (school of philosophy) I hop...

nilsabm I think you are right in saying we are campaigning for the same thing, we are just doing it in different ways. While certain people seem to think that posting how awfull the school the school is is the right way to do it, we are saying that the school is a great place to send your children a...

Alban Thank you very much. I think it would be a good idea to split the forum, but it would be important for it to remain split, which I think would be difficult because the school and SES have such a link, and many of the discussions on the forum are mixed. E.g. they start on one topic, be it StJ o...

Justice! Ok. Its just that an investigation of the current goings on would turn up very little, if anything. The end of my post about not being insulting was directed to sam, not to you. You have done nothing to insult us directly. Its people attacking the current school (st james not SES) thats mak...

I was going to post something harsh about the levels of literacy in other schools but I think Whitedevils post will suffice. An example of speech normally met on the streets of Richmond. "Tafe bruv watygwan u bois wan sum grass, naaa bruv get aat u bois sum neeks ya naa"...... etc etc And they do ac...

Justice! Im not too sure about these investigations, are they invesigating the school now? Or events of 20 odd years ago? Im sure if the investigation is of 20 years ago they will discover the awfull acts of some of the teachers, and as a consequece some of the current teachers/ govenors may get the...

Thanks for the defence Sam. It was never my intention to insult or hurt anybody as I have posted twice already. As for "Justice!'s" proposed change of his threads name to: Quote "Dont be Intimidated by St. James Staff or SES Parents OR PUPILS OF SES PARENTS AT ST. JAMES" Neither of my parents are in...

Hi sugarloaf. The change at the senior boys occurred before my time 1998 - 2005. I joined the senior boys after going to the affiliated Alcuin School in Leeds and was never subject to any physical punishment. Although I remember talks with boys about 3-4 years senior who remembered the cane, but who...

Its good to see some positive feedback on this forum. Thank you everybody that has something positive to say and is voicing it. ses-surviver please to just say things you don't actually know about, because the fact is the school did everything (in regard to IT) straight. All the hardware came from, ...

Sparks By talking about the new facilities and the state of the schools at present we are mearly countering the statements made about continuing abuse / poor running of the school at present, or feeling to that effect in other posts / threads. I agree, and if you read other threads, Sam also agrees ...

Im glad to here that the St James system is florishing. I had nothing, well near enough nothing, but good experiences throughout my education there, from my primary years at the alcuin in leeds (moved there at 8 because of bullying, and, wait for it.... teacher verbal abuse at my first school!) to b...
