FT, TB - having separate facilities is NOT gender stereotyping My mistake, sorry about that. Seperate toilets is gender discrimination. My understanding of gender stereotyping is that one ascribes behaviour not based upon biological differences between the genders. You have described some examples o...

ADG, Quote: You need to lighten up a bit. Taking your own advice might not go astray either Fair point, shall we deal and both lighten up? Quote: do I try and enforce an ideological difference along social lines of gender, this I certainly do not consciously do. what about enforcing them thru your O...

Hi emmalu9, I believe that this forum gives people a place where they can begin to heal the wounds inflicted through connection with the SES and St James schools. Sharing experiences and feelings with others whose lives have been similarly damaged can help to gain closure and to deal with a history ...

ADG, so TB - am i to assume by your posts in another thread that you are so SES anal you have dropped this discussion? Do you enocurage gender stereotypes? why do you unable to beleive young males are emotionally vulnerable? Why do you control your children so much? don't you want them to grow into ...

ADG, Do you seriously expect me to be sarcastic when dealing with an intellect like yours? Grimep, Does chucking in a comment about 'SES psychobabble' indicate some sort of seige mentality about the SES? It seems your annoyance over my comments is causing you to lump me with SES badness. Does it off...

Hi Snowman,

Correct me if I'm wrong but I think that I just learnt to think and speak for myself. Hooray, I am so proud of myself. Thank you for helping me out, TB.

You are welcome - do not be so hard on yourself in the future, everyone has the opportunity to improve themselves.

Hi Snowman,

TB, did you not see this from 'lowpass'?

You need to learn to think and speak for yourself, not rely on others.

Hi Witness, I am puzzled that you as a parent of a young child would write this. Your peers may not have seemed traumatised, but that is the whole point about why paedophilia is evil. Time and time again in this forum we the witnesses of SES abuse have explained that children believe what adults are...

Hi emmalu9 You say Your paragraph on gender equality clearly demonstrates that you too are suffering from this very sad delusion. I pity you and hope that you will one day be able to be released from the bondage of pride. and I assume is based upon me saying Your caring about gender discrimination i...

Hi all, My post certainly got a response. Let me clarify some of the points I made. I am not suggesting that schools in the western world still act according to the punishment process of the 60/70/80's that was St James. What I am saying is that even in first world country schools in those decades d...

Hi ADG, Your comment TB said Quote: What I did not say, and obviously should have, is that parents also rationalise their behaviour. This allows them to feel that they have seen and corrected mistakes. If they are not able to do this, it would threaten sanity Personally I don't think this is "normal...

Hi ADG,

well my experience is that they cry more.

What is your experience? Pre school teacher, neo natal nurse? If I understand you correctly you believe that boys cry more from birth to school age (7 years?) than girls and then it reverses.

Hi ADG, Are you saying that parents (and people as a whole) are constantly deluding themselves??? If so I would disagree. Yes, that is exactly what I am saying, so let me support my statement. Ignorance is not directly observable, in other words you do not know what you do not know. You might agree ...

ADG, TB wrote Quote: If something like this does not turn out for the best, it appears that it is very difficult for parents to admit an error I beg to differ. Most parents I know would concede to various mistakes - even little ones and wish for the benefit of hindsight What I did not say, and obvio...
