As far as I'm aware the 3 teachers found to have abused children, who are still teaching are: 1. David Lacey 2. David Hipshon 3. Chris Southwell So teacher C would be one of them, probably Lacey as he's the obvious sadist. Debenham's current role is as chair of the Education Renaissance Trust, for m...

Whether or not he's a 'changed man' really makes no difference to those he abused. The man has caused massive suffering to huge numbers of people, it goes way beyond just those he actually abused, each victim has parents, siblings, friends, partners, children etc.. who live with the damaging effects...

I don't like this thread - it's nasty and vindictive. And before anybody complains that the subject was also - consider this: how is hounding someone going to serve the cause of justice? Is it not, in its own way, an abuse? Oh Stanton for goodness sake try and get with the real world!! Of course th...

If there is no difference between the stated aims and the actual aims, then we are at one. But if there is a hidden agenda or undercurrent of something else, then we should know. Wouldn't you want to know? I would have thought that your experiences might have given you a lifelong insight into hypoc...

Re: The mysterious (and mysteriously anonymous) PPIAG
I'm sure most of us, from whatever camp, can happily endorse most of their aims. Change is needed and overdue. They seem reasonable and moderate. My only concern is that if there are sinister people sticking their oars in ('hardened activists'), then they are muddying the waters for all. You've con...

Ross, While I appreciate you starting this important thread and providing very useful links I am baffled by your abuse aimed at ADG and Free Thinker and by your rants about female abusers. You seem to be on a crusade to prove that women can be abusers too, when, as far as I can see, no-one's disagre...

sexual abuse of girls at St James
There's no doubt in my mind that the hitting of girl's in St James was sexual abuse. If a girl was to be hit she was told to come to the front of the class pull her knickers down, lift her dress up and bend over. The teacher then hit her with her bare hand. I was never punished in this way but it ha...

But they have worked with children again - for years and years and years. Oh well that's cool then. Loving your logic Stanton! Remind me, who are you? Perhaps I should say that I've never been a pupil at St Vedast or St James, neither have I been a parent with children there, or a teacher at any of...

We have had a variety of French teachers in the school, some ancient some young and I should say, very attractive. I guess the reasons for long skirts are, mind you they are not long, if that?s long, I'd LOVE TO SEE WHAT SHORT IS! Is to prevent the boys getting distracted I guess. Doesn?t stop us t...
