Well Frodo, I wonder whether it has crossed your mind that with an attitude like that you might not have inspired the confidence of a traumatised and cynical young woman to open up about her humiliating experience? It is well documented that despite the abuser being in the wrong it is often the abus...

I am sorry to say that I heard many 'stories' about men in the SES offering lifts home to young women after large meetings, only for them to be molested in the back of the car on the way home. I agree with James that it is the individual that is sick for him to attempt to physically force himself on...

My own take on it... Ensure every subscriber to the course has a leaflet that details the links to this BB and for fairness a link to the official SES site. When they have an informed decision, then let them choose if this is a wise investment of time and money. Personally I think it is sick in the ...

No offence taken Bella. Unfortunately It is hard to post anything that might give you a clear understanding without going into specific detail. I am still growing in my understanding of what makes it something not for me, and seperating out personal choice from circumstamtial choice in the equation....

I am sorry that you think my posted reply was negative, it wasn't intended to be. It was meant to be challenging. I do try to stay on topic and not to let it become a sort of meeting place on the lines of friendsreunited because I think it has a serious purpose. I don't think I have ever being accus...

Thanks Daska, I was wondering where he stood. And what actiondo you suggest we should take if we are not happy with the report, Jerome. Or even the Governors response? We would be heavily criticised (and rightfully) if we disrupted the schools any further than this whole mess might have done already...

Patrick, You must have forgotten that Nelson Mandela was a terrorist before he was banged up for all those years. I would suggest that it was his anger that kept him alive for many of the years that he spent in prison, as it turned out righteous anger. His wife was in many news reports shown as the ...

Bella, with all due respect I don't know you and it is inapropriate to divulge highly personal information to what amounts to an email address. Besides which, in my experience, a lot of people who attend the SES tend not to be so good at handling others emotion, and are not so in touch with theirs. ...

My apologies The O, I should have put an emoticon in there to show you that it was meant with humour. Something I thought you would undertand, but there you go. I dont think that I insulted you apart from saying that you said what you had to say in what I regarded as a mock authoritative and dismiss...

Well done FT, you have brought it back down to earth. I know there are some passionate people here, god knows I'm one of them, but it doesn't do anyone any good if the discussions dissolve into slanging matches or who has the most friends competitions. I am heartily glad that many things have change...

I had some reservations about the way two was worded as it didn't precisely reflect the way I would have worded it (cursed independence of mind huh) but on reflection it would be no bad thing if the school do want to put it all behind them. Practically speaking if they are true to form they will ign...

The O, So how did you like your rant? Satisfied? Good, then we can have a rational discussion. I spent about 15 years in the SES, how long have you spent in it? As you maybe didn't know I had spent a while in it, how can you have known if I hadn't? Maybe you should have sent some PM's yourself to ch...
