Errrm, nobody's answered my question. The article names no sources, contains inaccuracies, is written by a Maharishi TM organisation and is therefore biased. leon, similarly, has gone off to some other website and talks about 'yogic flying' even though this isn't even mentioned in the article I quo...

Exactly what is convincing, and why "relatively? The fact some schools want to integrate TM into their curriculum does not mean anything, many schools in the US and private religious schools in the UK such as the Adventist still try and teach creationism. TM has millions of zealous members including...

thanks for posting that apology, stanton. However you wrote that the message "ended with the chilling words - the children will be harmed'. Thats not an misinterpretation, more a fabrication.

This illustrates how members of SES are conditioned to believe exactly what they are told without question and without being sure of the facts first hand. Stantons well meaning but misinformed post was useful, it shows how paranoid and prejudiced SES is towards it's former pupils, looking only for t...

The central principle of Advaita philosophy is "non-duality" - not seeing oneself as separate. Setting oneself apart because one has a superior philosophy of non-dualism might seem mad, but it's also very understandable. We all want to think of ourselves as special in some way, and members of the S...

not...:) Smti Manjula Trivedi, a disciple of Tirthajis states they were reconstructed from materials scattered across the Atharvaveda. Tirthaji prefers the slightly less humble 'parisista', or appendix.

It's tough and painful to accept when things you were taught all your life turn out to be untrue.

Ok, it?s all getting a bit much now; you can NOT claim that the sutras came into existence this century. We do NOT know that and do NOT know ALOT, yet many of us CLAIM to know an awful amount about it. It is arrogance in the extreme. I have stated MY opinion on it, and these are entirely my own bel...

Yeah, the school had traffic with the Mahareshi Mahesh Yogi, and veered away from its totality. Same with the Gurdjieff/Ouspensky stuff. It was looking. Some parts of this site feed a victim culture that otherwise might not have flourished in this instance, and some parts are genuinely therapeutic ...

TD, boys sent to spend the morning in the girls classrooms as a form of punishment for something trivial This goes on at St James in London today. . Can any current members of SES comment on this? I find that punishment really weird and disturbing. Whats the rational here, that to be in the presenc...
