Re: Sydney School for Self Knowledge

I remember listening to one of the girls in my group, so it must have been early on in school before we were all segregated saying how Mrs M had come up to her and told her that single ladies in school do not co-habit with single gentlemen. She was quite affronted by this and left at the end of tea...

Re: Sydney School for Self Knowledge

What is also very important to remember is that Mrs M is supposed to be the 'spiritual guide' for the members of the School. That is, they are supposed to take their cue from her when it comes to 'spiritual' matters. However, if Mrs M is hypocritical in her application of School 'principles' ... it...

Hello Mislead,

You can also find 'The Secret Cult' at,

AbeBooks.com

There are many 2nd hand copies of the paperback, it will cost around $1 to $2 plus around
$6 to $7 postage. (From the UK,to Aus)
It is a wonderful site for any out of print, spiritual, or secondhand books.

Re: 'Secret' mantras

Hi Actuallythere and Tootsie, I intend to reflect on your words Actuallythere, I realise this is your line of work so you do not say these things without there being some basis to them. Quite possibly I just used the word 'stupid' too flippantly and may not really even be the correct word to have us...

Re: Corrupted Spiritual Groups

P ast members of the school don't exist for school people. "How can a 'spiritual' school be so separate from the 'world' and the 'man on the street' .. Yet proclaiming it teaches unity?' Self serving, locked in and isolated .." (Quote from another source) Some of todays students may think...

Re: 'Secret' mantras

ManOn the Street: Do you know the name of "His Holiness" who has given the SFSK this mantra?? Roughly translated "Hring Karya Namah" in english means: "One offers obeisances to the Holy Work (Effort)"! Thank you Ahamty2 for the translation/meaning. We were told and all...

Re: 'Secret' mantras

Yes I absolutely agree actuallythere, As far as I am aware according to Tradition, it is only the genuine acknowledged Holy Man/Guru that is authorised, and their most senior Dandi Swami disciples of which there are usually only around 2 in number. I did not understand this fact until recently, as I...

Re: Sydney School for Self Knowledge

I believe that the SFSK will not be around in ten years time and the SES and SOP will be finished in its current form within the next twenty five years which will be beyond my life time, its wealth will keep it going for a while yet. Leon McLaren was right when he said to us a long time ago now, th...

Re: 'Secret' mantras

Hello actuallythere, It is interesting in what you say in regard to the initiation ceremony and mantra, with it's use for mind control and ego boost. Possibly these organisations do use those aspects to their advantage, but I would say only by co-incidence. However I do not believe that mantras were...

Re: Sydney School for Self Knowledge

Thank you Ahamty2 for the welcome, It has taken some time to have the courage to speak here for fear of recognition from others still in SFSK. I am very grateful to the words of Man On The Street, who has really covered so many points about the school very accurately. Reading some of your own last p...

Re: Sydney School for Self Knowledge

Hello to all, I have just seen the posts here from Middle Way, Man On The Street, and Unique .. I thank you all for speaking what I too now realise to be true. For the record I too have recently left the School For Self Knowledge after being there for over 20 years. The Sydney School is not very lar...
