Both 'Newish Teacher at St James' and Katherine Watson made some very valid points. Neither of them damned St James School. I would be very surprised if any teacher who works there were to do so. I don't think either of them could have damned the School, should they have wished so to do- would it n...

Ok, here's my thoughts on it- I believe/know that St. James is run by Ses. I have shown on this site that there are efforts to rercuit new members of Ses through the day schools. Does this effort somehow alienate pupils that are not 'ses material' or who do not take up the offer, in the same way tha...

I would be interested to know what all the other present day teachers at St James think about all this. After all, it is as much their school as anybody elses, and I know many of them to be very dedicated and extremely hard working. We have heard from Katherine Watson and "Newish teacher at St Jame...

You are all members of the 7th Form!

There are reunions organisedhere, though this probably isn't quite what you had in mind, and I doubt they'd hand out addresses of former pupils...!

Re: Raising the tone
I just sensed something different in your post page 18, not sure what quite- a different attitude or position perhaps.

Will be interesting to see who else has the strength of character to come forward (without being pushed) and apologise unreservedly. I should think the pushing, or rather the chess game has begun! The headteachers know about the site and will have to treat this whole situation with great care: If a...

Only clear if you know a fair bit about the SES/SOP... It's just like the ads for their philosophy courses - although they have been reworded ONLY someone steeped in SES/SOP gobblygook speak would at ALL understand that it is basically about a single eastern flavoured philosopy. It still reads like...

I hope this isn't wandering off topic too much, but I've been wanting to try and get my thoughts on 'paper' for a while. I've tried to make it factual rather than emotional. The means may have been different but the aim of all four schools was the same - to break the spirit of the child in order to ...

You can add Chris Southwell to this list, he still works there too. There may even be others.... I think he works entirely at the girls school now. So the question should be directed to Mrs. Hyde also. The heads are certainly aware of this site, but I doubt there will be a response either from them...

David Hipshon, But I would salute your courage in posting on this site and making steps towards a redressing. Your apology is not for me as I was never your pupil, but I had some thoughts about your first post. I am deeply sorry if anything I have done has caused distress or resentment. Although som...

Sarum Chase? No idea where that came from.
Actually I've heard through the grapevine that Sarum Chase is being sold soon, though I'm not sure when. (I'm pretty sure I've got the right property, but I always get them muddled up!)
