Re: SFSK Devotee

I don't think this forum was created for the purpose of a pissing contest, or a slanging match or one-upmanship. Anything that adds to the reasonable exchange of ideas and experiences, not childish name-calling, seems to be what is called for here. One of the great values in this forum (thank you, D...

Re: Residentials

Hello again, Heroic Minnie! Good on you for standing up to the Head Bully. Clearly, these petty fascists have never read How to Win Friends and Influence People !. They have a sick and dysfunctional attitude on how to manage thinking, feeling, loving human beings. I just happen to be reading Dante's...

Thanks for the link, but sorry, but I have no idea was C.F.A.S. means. Can you clarify?

Re: Residentials

Dear Minnie, I am so very happy for you and your family. I take it you are referring to Sydney SOP? Is that the one on Pacific Highway and, I think, Fox Valley Rd, that big house and garden that the slave students maintain as part of their 'spiritual 2nd line work'? I was in Sydney SOP for over 11 y...

Re: Sydney School for Self Knowledge

I wonder if you are referring to Judith Rawson. Judith was a Mavro Sydney SOPer from the very early days, around 1967-8. She was part of the original Sydney Top Group and one of Madam Nina's inner circle 'ladies.' She was a school teacher, from South Africa, and used to be a normal person, a lovely ...

Re: SES - Any Connection to the Freemasons?

Hello, I have only just now read 'the small print' notice for unanswered posts and read yours. Sorry, I'm years late. Regarding SES and the Masons: Mickey Mavro, of Sydney SOP, was a Freemason, I was told by a reliable, if indiscreet, top group source. He was also obsessed with Mozart's Magic Flute ...

Re: Sydney School for Self Knowledge

PS: It's all OK, 'enlightened,' I know you love Nina Mavro, maybe a tad 'in love' with her. I am not making fun of you or putting you down or criticizing you. I remember what it was like myself, to be all trusting and believing in her rhetoric, hanging on her every word, trusting in her integrity an...

Re: Sydney School for Self Knowledge

The current Mavro abomination of a spiritual path has absolutely no legitimacy, no spiritual leaders, no true spiritual lineage and no future.

Re: Sydney School for Self Knowledge

My best advice for anyone attracted to a Mavro sham-school is this: Beware of Greeks bearing gifts. They will present you with the beautiful promise of the 'only path to enlightenment,' but inside this gift is a subtle toxic contagion designed to destroy adult autonomy, which will take over your lif...

Re: Sydney School for Self Knowledge

That beautiful gesture expresses respect for the other person, an acknowledgement of the Self within. It shows modesty and humbleness of character. I can't image Nina Mavro genuinely thus opening her heart to her students, or anyone, except she wanted something from them: such as money.

Re: Michael Mavro Sydney SOP

Hello all Sydney SOP and SFSK survivors and those current members who covertly lurk on the quiet.... I have found an article, "What Are You Waiting For," in the magazine, Buddhadharma: the practitioner's quarterly (Spring 2013, pp23-24) which I wanted to post to share with those who are st...

Re: SFSK Devotee

Hello everyone, I am new to this forum and am someone who has spent more than half of my life involved with the SFSK in Sydney. I am finding that this forum is very helpful on a number of levels. I very much value the opinions of everyone on here, as I continue to live a clearer, happier and more f...

This is one of the very best things I've ever read on this forum. Very apt and wise. Thank you for expressing yourself this way about the parasitic Nina Mavro.

Re: Sydney School for Self Knowledge

Dear Dr Alan: before you go, could you tell me what kind of Doctor you are? Medicine, Psychology, science, a PhD in the Humanities, or in which field? You've probably already stated this in your earlier postings, but I can't find it. If this reaches you before you bow out, good luck. Thanks for the ...

Re: 'Secret' mantras

What is the purpose of this post by Dwelling in the Past if not to create mischief?[/quote] Dear Perth SOPer, this forum was established many years ago and multitudes of first-hand witnesses and 'School' survivors have responded, participated and contributed to this beneficial website. Aside from t...
