Yes, we support traditional gender roles How exactly does the org encourage traditional gender roles, other than the dress code? Are you serious or taking the piss? I thought you'd been going for awhile. I guess maybe it's just not long enough. The material makes it clear, but the first point of in...

NYC - no doubt about there being a push for traditional gender roles, and the long skirts being a part of it. I just don't think someone sat around thinking - "how can we get all those assertively egalitarian-minded women to bugger off? I know, let's make them wear skirts." I'd say it's more a case ...

GB - We have air conditioning, so it's not so bad if the guys get changed/put on their other layers at the building. But yeah, in the summer it's fairly common for the men to remove their jackets in group, or on a service team - to keep them off when they're not directly serving students. Heh, no th...

NYC - if the school teaching is that "mean have greater access to reason", and "women have greater access to emotion", it doesn't mean that one or the other is better equipped to tutor a group. Both are required. In the case of a younger school, also, the primary qualification for being a tutor is b...

I'm getting it, NYC. :) My tutors in Parts 2,3 and 4 were women, and all had male assistants. Right now, there are, um.... 4, maybe 5 female tutors at the Bris school who have male assistants. Half single or divorced, half married (the women tutors). Yeah yeah, we're a little provincial backwater wh...

I'm curious to see the post that earned you a suspension, Sam - care to PM it to me? It was mentioned in the other thread that people wanting to see the post in question could ask you for it via PM or email.

Not sure if you overlooked my request for clarification on the WHOLE TRUTH and REAL AGENDA, Justice, but I'm asking again. What are they, to your knowledge? Or was "mind control cult, indoctrination" the basic gist of your objective, straightforward assessment? Hardly going to get that on a website,...

I'm curious what the WHOLE TRUTH and REAL AGENDA entail, for Justice. But yeah, crazy people believe in crazy stuff all the time, so don't write off SES as fairweather friends - they're just as likely to stick with insanity as their point of reference as anybody else. Thanks, Mike.

I'd think given the circumstances, it would be fairer to PM anything further to Ross regarding his performance in this thread.

Anton - no offence taken. I was replying to ADG, who's been part of a few discussions on this board about "measure" and what it is to the SOP. I didn't see the need to unwind it further.

I was pregnant and hormonal. :) I was actually pregnant, and living in Sydney. A family friend started attending, and my mother followed his lead. She mentioned the school a couple of times in her letters, and she sent a book from the school library (New Guide to Rational Living, I believe). I read ...

I've been called a few names here, and basically told to go hug my dolly in the provincial corner a few times. I'm assuming what Sam said must have been above and beyond simple dismissive insults and sarcasm, but I don't feel a burning need to read it. I'm curious, sure, but I don't feel it's my God...

Yeah, "school" means whatever school your kids go to, whether it's the local state school down the road, an SOP school, or Tae Kwon Do. Basically wherever you have the teacher-student relationship happening. The mothers I've been in contact with in my time at the school have varied quite a bit in ho...
