Re: THE SES and THE LAWS OF MANU

Thanks ET and Bluegreen, I won't leave, it was a knee jerk reaction. I am over sensitive at the moment about all this. I do need to take a big step back and I thank you for pointing out what the forum was set up for. It does need to be said as a reminder. Daffy is right too running away is not the r...

Re: THE SES and THE LAWS OF MANU

I think frankly this is the kind of pushover mentality that allows a strong-willed monster like Maclaren to impose his will in the first place. I never met LM, if I had I wouldn't have lasted 5 minutes in his presence from what I've heard about him. Make of that what you like. I need to get out of ...

Re: THE SES and THE LAWS OF MANU

Well, thanks for your honesty. I think this is a good time for me to leave this forum. I will check in, but I have said all I wanted to say in the interests of transparency anyway.

Re: THE SES and THE LAWS OF MANU

ET, I certainly didn't mean anything flippantly, I was upset at the time. I think I have made it very clear here how horrified I am about the past. As for my other comment, the person had already used their own name, but I do take your point. Actually that is not quite accurate, he was replying to m...

Re: Sex, Lies, and Grand Schemes of Thought

I have read most of these extracts.

I found it very helpful, in particular from the Conclusion onwards.

Re: THE SES and THE LAWS OF MANU

These are all valid points against a thread on 'advaita'/Gangaji on this forum. I will certainly not be starting one! Ahamty2 wrote: The SES sees itself as the Brahmin caste of the West hence the Laws of Manu obsession. Advaita is buddhist philosophy transposed into hindu vedic teaching. There is a ...

Thanks Daffy,

I'll think about it since there are views against it.

Re: THE SES and THE LAWS OF MANU

Hi Free and Tootsie, I must admit I would welcome a topic to discuss something more positive, here with others that have got so far in SES and left for one reason or another, but are still interested in the basic 'philosophy'. It would not necessarily not relate to the SES either, in fact most of us...

Re: THE SES and THE LAWS OF MANU

Is that me you're calling 'stilton', halucagenic?! Very good joke - very funny! I'm a bit thick, took me a while to get it. Thanks for your message. I'm sorry about your lonely bubble. I have wondered about putting a thread up about Gangaji's teaching - she talks of the so-called 'teaching' in what ...

Oh well done Free! I shall keep a note of all your questions. At the risk of encouraging your 'ego' (ha ha!) I have to admit I sometimes have to look up some of the words you use, and all the more fun it makes things!

Re: Calling Daffy (and Witness)

Hi Daffy,

Sorry didn't explain it very well - I just wondered if they had gone to you instead of Witness as you mention in your note to Witness that you had to take the name off the forum. They must have gone to Witness then.

Thanks, Bluemoon
