Since I have mentioned in several of my posts that I have been working on some notes concerning my experiences and analysis of the SES, I just want to inform anyone that may have been interested that I have now sought legal advice regarding ‘defamation’. This issue was brought up by the Leader of the organisation, Mr Donald Lambie when I circulated my previous notes a year or so ago to a just a handful of people. Unfortunately the solicitor who has checked over my notes has advised me to seek specialist advice, probably only available from a big city based legal firm. I fear the cost would be prohibitive and have decided to leave the matter at that. I have already posted a good deal on this site concerning my experiences and understanding of the organisation in any case.

Apologies to the forum and many thanks to everyone for both the support I received, especially when I first discovered the site and found out the extent of what had been done to the children in the past, but also for the space to present my own experiences and concerns, and I sincerely believe that this has helped enormously to keep me (relatively) sane in spite of everything.

Bluemoon. I am not going to PM you - no point in hiding. Shame that Donald Lambie and his lawyers got the better of you on this Forum. I do understand your choice to not go forward with your paper, but I do not fully accept it, because to post on here is the oxygen of the Forum and it is the only way we are taking on this cult. Lawyers are lawyers full stop. They are frightened to death of the internet. And to post on the internet is what we have to do to stop being bullied by the likes of the money -men Lambies. I detected a goodbye in your post too - are you bowing out? -I hope not, carry on posting - you still have a lot to contribute, legal threats or not. woodgeen.

Thanks for your kind words, they mean a great deal to me.

I understand what you mean woodgreen about the forum and agree with you. I will try to get a cost but I think (and so does the solicitor I approached) that it would be very expensive.

Actuallythere: I have looked at the wikileaks site - thanks, but they do not accept personal experiences. In any case I think this would be the place for my notes, if anywhere.

A few general points about defamation:

1. Truth is a defence to defamation.
2. I think it highly unlikely that the School leaders will ever bring defamation claims against any of us. To do so would be to open up the whole organisation/s to public scrutiny. No School leader is going to do that. These organisations thrive on secrecy and manipulation. You can't manipulate educated and informed people. In other words, it's just not in their interest to pursue legal action.

@Bluemoon: I've read many of your posts with great interest. I hope this is not goodbye, and that you continue to contribute and share your thoughts.

I also think it's very important that we all continue to post here, if for no other reason than to warn prospective students. The way to defeat these organisations is by providing an open source of information about them to the public at large. This forum does that, and also provides a space where we can all discuss our experiences and debate the issues. It's simply invaluable in my opinion.
