Perhaps a nice idea to post here external links to this site, we encounter now and then. If just to know how others perceive this board and react to the schools and SES relation.

I'll found this one via the statistics of the site

Here's another one...

http://community.urbanbaby.com/boards/

there are a couple of mentions, here's a short one I thought was funny

Has anyone heard or know about the New York School of Practical Philosophy? Toddler - Apr 20th, 2005 2:48pm

talk about an oxymoron... - Apr 20th, 2005 2:48pm
Is that the Ark School? On 79th St? - Apr 20th, 2005 2:48pm
is that the one that advertises with 'Philosophy Works!' all over the
subways? - Apr 20th, 2005 2:49pm

op. Yes that's the one - I was wondering what it was like. A pile of rubbish - or actually something ok. - Apr 20th, 2005 2:55pm
Not sure. Advertisment and philosophy don't really go together, IMHO. Prolly a lot of rubbish. - Apr 20th, 2005 2:56pm
They advertise on the subway. - Apr 20th, 2005 2:49pm
Yes, it's the old Abe Lincoln School - Apr 20th, 2005 2:49pm

op. yes that's pretty much what I thought. I'd like to do some sort of MA in Philosopy...any ideas for study on-line/correspondance? - Apr 20th, 2005 3:00pm

yeah, online & correspondence courses are a good way to avoid the rubbish that's out there...

I've sent the following "review" but am not sure it gets published:

The school is "part of an international network of schools" alright but not mentioned is the name of that network; School of Economic Science. The original school in the UK has just finished an inquiry into devastating child abuse allegations which left deep emotional scares in too many young children.

What is also neglected from the review is that this network was branded a "Secret Cult" by two newspaper investigators who investigated the institution and finally reported their research in a mind blowing book.

You owe it to your child to familiarize you with these allegations before you place your trust with a group which is reluctant to mention even the group name. Visit this forum http://forum.whyaretheydead.net/ and enter the former School's name in the search field at the top: Abraham Lincoln

Mike - well nothing there so far - just the one original glowing review. I didn't add my two cents worth but i DID click the star rating (giving it the lowest *g*) - but no change yet - says it would take 24 hours to be posted.

Other forumites - you don't have to register to write a review or give it a star rating - so why not go to the site and at least click a star? We can then sit back and see what happens :)

Edit to add - seems clicking on the star DID give an immediate reaction - its gone from 5 star to 3 and a half!

Well, I've just done my bit. I wonder if they'll keep their promise to publish my review ('Network of child abuse') within 24 hours...

Funny. It was hoped for by others as well that Tom Cruise would make a fool of himself again because our sites had way more visitors during his "War of the World" promo-tour in which he was psychiatry bashing and offending women who take drugs after post partum depressions. Really 10 times as many visitors as last month, in my case.

Now it is the "silent birth" thing Katie Holmes will have to suffer, as the latest news media spotlight on the scientology loonies. To maximize the "cruise effect" I have added some names to a page about that in the hope to get extra visitors.

There's every chance the idiots will feed the little Cruise kid honey because their Guru said it is okay. And anyone with half a brain knows that can kill a baby: http://members.chello.nl/mgormez/childabuse/barley.html

Well, while there is still just the single positive review on http://www.gocitykids.com/comments/list.jsp? , it has been edited...the mention of an "international network of schools" has been cut out. Find it interesting that ms. lindbergh, if it was her, changed the review in that particular way. Did anyone email her directly? She posted her address....

The phrase "Philosophy Day School is a part of an international network of schools" is printed on:
