How do we participate in the inquiry?

Postby Daffy » Sat Dec 11, 2004 4:26 am

David Boddy wrote:As soon as practical arrangements for the Inquiry have been established I will post on the message board details of an address to which complaints and written evidence can be sent for onward transmission to the Independent Chairman.

I shall keep the message board up to date with material developments as details of the Inquiry unfold.

The above quote is from David Boddy's post "A Message from the new headmaster of St James". He promised to keep this board up to date with developments, but since then there has been silence, notwithstanding the fact that parents of current pupils have apparently received letters informing them of the inquiry.

Does anyone know what is happening? What are the inquiry's terms of reference? How long will it last? Who will conduct it? Will its findings be made public? How do we participate?

The obvious answer is of course that I should contact David Boddy, but I wanted to see what other people had to say first. If the inquiry starts in January, time appears to be running out.

ENQUIRY A FARCE?

Postby Matt » Tue Dec 14, 2004 7:17 pm

The only way for this enquiry not to be a farce is to hand the matter over to the relevent authority ( the police? the child abuse agency ) and let them choose who to conduct the independent inqiury) That St James get to choose the independent chairman is so obviously farcical.
