Inquiry Terms of Reference

Postby CBetts » Fri Jun 10, 2005 11:45 am

Further to previous messages, the Chairman of the Inquiry, Mr James Townend Q.C. has finalised the Terms of Reference which are now being released to all those who have expressed an interest in the Inquiry. Anyone who has not previously corresponded with me concerning the Inquiry who wishes to have a copy of the Terms of Reference may make a written request via vedast@vwl.co.uk or by post to Veale Wasbrough Lawyers, Orchard Court, Orchard Lane, Bristol BS1 5WS.
As previously notified, the Inquiry hearings will be held in central London between 20 and 24th June. In addition to the consideration of written submissions, the Chairman will undertake private interviews with anyone wishing to make oral representations.
Anyone who wishes to attend an interview with the Chairman, please notify me as soon as possible. On receipt of your written request to attend you will be allocated a specific appointment during the week of 20 - 24 June. Whilst every effort will be made to accommodate any requests for a specific time or date, we cannot guarantee to be able to achieve a time and date of your choice. You will be given details of the venue when you are notified of your appointment.
If you wish to make a written submission, please send it to vedast@vwl.co.uk or to Veale Wasbrough Lawyers at the address above, as soon as possible. The Chairman is prepared to exercise discretion over the consideration of late submissions. His decision will be final.
