I haven?t seen the interview, ill download it later. But my mum said Boddy didn?t handle it too well. "What was he thinking? Trying to bring philosophy stories into it!" was what she said.
I am intrigued, justice, in how this interview doesn?t have a negative effect on today?s school. I thought the purpose of this forum was to get justification for acts of 20 years ago. Not to bring today?s school (which we have agreed is a very different place) to its knees.
I just get the feeling Justice that all you want to do is attack the school (which you have no first hand knowledge of) in any way you can. I do not fully understand you, if the past pupils have an issue let them voice it. I know you?re going to say something like you?re the voice of the people, but really with no first hand knowledge your posting other peoples opinions and experiences.
What are you trying to acheive, and what are YOUR personal motives for doing so?

I thought Channel 4 did an excellent job in telling a complicated story as well as it could within the time restraints of a news programme. And I offer enduring respect for those of you who went public. You were credible and convincing. Roll on the documentary when the SES and its self-apointed role in shaping the education of future generations can be properly explored. Of course such a programme would have to give Mr Boddy and co greater time to expound their theories but give certain people enough rope... potter and clay! Dear oh dear.
Tom and Sarah, you were great. Lets hope more now come forward.

Good quote but debenham got their first: as in his 1989 newspaper interview: quote ? heavy metal leads to drug taking?. That was after he explained why he thought boys and girls should not develop relationships ? even when they get to university age (!)
And the guy was in charge of childrens emotional development for 29 years!.

James ? for god's sake at least watch the C4 report before you start commenting on it. For your info it IS past pupils who are voicing their opinions on it ? NOT Justice. Its an extremely coherent report, and describes EXACTLY what former pupils are demanding.
Please watch it a couple of times before commenting on it, or anyones involvement in it.
