Thanks for the useful list of web links StVSurvivor.
Perhaps Mike Gormez and Daffy could start a list of links of Pro and Anti SES links which could be updated and added to by them upon request and held at the top of the front page as a 'sticky.'
It would make life easier (and less confusing) for people when they look at the 'Combined Message Board' for the first time, and would also help researchers / journalists etc who dont have the time to read through thousands of postings.

Perhaps it is an idea to add them to this page. What do you think Daffy?

Perhaps add these books to the list too:
There's been some interest recently in books investigating the SES / SoES. These include:
"Spying in Guru land" by William Shaw
"Call No Man Master" by Joyce Collin Smith
"In search of heaven on Earth" by Rachel Storm
"In search of PD Ouspensky: The Genius in the Shadow of Gurdjieff" by Gary Lachman
"Madame Blavatsky's Baboon" by Peter Washington
"Secret Cult" by Peter Hounam and Andrew Hogg

If they are added to that page, perhaps it could be renamed to make it more obvious what the contents are?

Yep, for example Why and how to Register? - Links - Reference books
But it is Daffy's posting.

The wisdom of Nicholas Debenham, as broadcast by the BBC:
"It's not so much that if you cane a boy it changes him - it might or it might not - but the fact of its existence, um, makes others pause."
Are you saying that caning's prime value is in the fear that it instills in others? If so, then that would hardly fit my definition of a "civilising" practice.
"Now, if the love's in place, which also goes with respect and trust in each other - and in a good school that's how it is - then you just need an occasional sanction."
Occasional, Mr Debenham? Your beatings weren't exactly occasional at St Vedast, were they? But then, it obviously didn't fit your definition of a "good school" since, as this forum demonstrates, many of your pupils didn't love, respect or trust you. I certainly feared you, though. But not any more!
