Calling Daffy (and Witness)

Postby bluemoon » Sun Jan 24, 2010 1:54 pm

Dear Daffy (and Witness if you are still out there),

I put a note under the topic about my notes, but you obviously have not seen it, so sorry to make a topic of this but I thought you would be more likely to see the message. I would just like to find out if my notes went to Witness or to you Daffy, in view of your note to Witness?

If you are there Witness, would be grateful if you could let me know if you did get the notes.

Many thanks, Bluemoon (stiltrubld)

Bluemoon, I've not received anything. Did you send them by email or private message?

Hi Daffy,

Sorry didn't explain it very well - I just wondered if they had gone to you instead of Witness as you mention in your note to Witness that you had to take the name off the forum. They must have gone to Witness then.

Thanks, Bluemoon

What did Lambie say to threaten you?

I don't mean this as a judgement on anyone but I think people may be inclined to take vague threats from the SES too seriously. As a barrister, Lambie will be aware as much as anyone that using the courts to try and muzzle your critics is liable to backfire seriously on any organisation that relies on support from a voluntary and middle class membership base.

Is anyone aware of any instance of the SES taking formal legal steps to silence criticism? The only one I know of is the attempt to prevent the publication of 'Secret Cult' in the early 80s.

Oh well done Free! I shall keep a note of all your questions. At the risk of encouraging your 'ego' (ha ha!) I have to admit I sometimes have to look up some of the words you use, and all the more fun it makes things!

Best wishes, Bluemoon (stiltrubld)
